Welcome to a slightly different blog… From now on Ali will be writing a purely climbing blog and I’ll be covering the “other stuff”. So if you want the beta on his latest crushes click HERE, or read on for the more fluffy stuff from our travels and non climbing life...

Vall d'Ordesa: Day one

Next morning we were up early to start a two day circuit around the entire rim of the canyon - all the way up from Torla (no buses for us!)

It started off with a steep slog to get up to the top of the canyon (1000m of ascent straight up the valley side).

Up through the forest and out into pretty flowers - Tash was happy with all the lovely colours!

Finally onto the summit plateau.

And from there we started the real fun - a traverse round the rim of the canyon along the 'Faja de flores' ledge!

Stunning views back down the valley to Torla where we'd started.

The dramatic 'Faja de flores' path.

One of the best campsites ever - not a soul in sight!
